The TUM Department of Civil, Geo and Environmental Engineering is unique in Bavaria and goes all the way back to the year the university was founded in 1868. The exhibit in the immatriculation hall of the TUM main building provides insights into the work of civil engineers and offers an exemplary documentation of the service range provided by the sector as a whole. The historical development of the career profile is the point of departure for a broad look taking us into the future. Protagonists and milestone projects, classic construction assignments and innovations all illustrate the societal, cultural and technological importance of civil engineering.
